Machine Learning ID Lombok Community

Let me begin by praising Allah Cherisher and Sustainer of The World, The Most Merciful to all His creature.

In my humble opinion community is the most effective way to develop open source project or knowledge. I’ve been active in community since my college until now. I grow with open source community and I get knowledge and share it again to community in my own way. I was a contributor of some php library for MikroTik api, and that is my way to respect community that has been raised me by share their knowledge for free.

In the past, I was in linux community in my campus, and I following community outside campus with name “Komunitas Pengguna Linux (KPLI) NTB“ or in english translation Linux User Community for area NTB. And until now, I still use linux as my primary operating system. Now, there are many community that active in my island, one of them is Machine Learning ID Lombok.

Machine Learning ID Lombok was created after a talk show that was held in April 7 2018 at Lombok Island, Indonesia. Talk show that presenting Afif Iskandar as an AI Scientist from Buka Lapak and administrator of Machine Learning ID community. The content of topic is talk about introduction to machine learning and how its used in industry. After this talk show, Afif Iskandar recommend us to make a group or community for machine learning ID in Lombok island. In my consideration his suggestion is good, so I follow his suggestion, by creating a group called Machine Learning ID Lombok as a follow up of Afif Iskandar recommendation. And by the way Machine Learning ID Lombok is a “sister group” of Machine Learning ID, soo it means Machine Learning ID Lombok its only extension of Machine Learning ID community that has been created more longer than Machine Learning ID Lombok.

After I create the group or community, we try to make an event for sharing a knowledge about computer vision with deep learning, and praise to Allah we’ve succeed create the first event. And it continues with another event as a mini batch of the first event to dig deeper about how to use Keras Deep Learning Framework in computer vision. After the first mini batch in using Keras, we make another event that share introduction to PyTorch for Deep Learning Framework. We plan to make an event again for second mini batch, probably it will take place this month with same topic like first mini batch, that is Keras Deep Learning Framework for Computer Vision. I hope it will succeed again like before.

Our vision in this community is to share as much as we can about machine learning and deep learning to solve our problem in our daily lives. And I hope, our community getting more bigger by get more people to passion about machine learning and deep learning in Lombok. Okay, I think that all for now, if you reading this I hope you will join our community.
