Being Python Course Trainer In ITEC Mataram Indonesia
ITEC is an abbreviation of the “Information Technology Education Center”, it is a company that found for course in the field of Information Technology in general. I’m one of the Co-Founder in ITEC but not an investor, we start to build ITEC 3 years ago. Our vision when we build ITEC, we want to be the most frontier in education for skill-oriented in IT in our place Nusa Tenggara Barat.
Why do we say skill-oriented? Our background as the founder was ex-lecturer in the campus, what we found that many campuses in Nusa Tenggara Barat Indonesia is not base on skill-oriented. And not only that, the material is too slow to update to follow industrial challenge in the real world. I myself is an active developer when I being a lecturer in campus and until now I still active developer in the software industry. For me to see the gap between academic study and industry is so pathetic. The student in academic or campus hope they will get a job by following a curriculum in their campus that has not been updated, they don't know about real software industry need or their technology stack. With that situation, this gap makes many college students think they would be ready for work, but in the real world, they don't ready for that.
For me to find a team for work in developing software is a bit hard in my place, so I myself try to educate a student then after I educate them, I ask them to work with me in real software Industry. This situation is not only faced by me, but my friends that try to survive in the software industry in Nusa Tenggara Barat Indonesia do the same thing. And that's why we build ITEC, we want to be a generator of skill on demand in the real-world software industry. Our curriculum follows the newest and credible thing in software industry demand and we always update thing that new in the software industry.
